Statistics Program

Statistics is the science of collecting, classifying, presenting, and interpreting data.

An undergraduate major in Statistics will study foundations in Statistics, statistical methodology, and data analysis. The goal is to provide each student with a firm understanding of each branch of this diverse discipline along with significant technical awareness of the subject.

An advantage to studying Statistics as an undergraduate is the vast array of opportunities available after graduation:  Statisticians at the B.Sc. level are needed in industry, government, and in academics (colleges, technical/vocational schools).
